Do I really not need consent banners?
VeritaMetrics sets no cookies and writes no IP address to a stored row, so there is less to disclose than with a cookie-based tool. Whether that removes your need for a banner is decided by ePrivacy Art. 5(3), and by PECR in the UK, which covers storing or accessing information on a visitor's device whether or not it is personal data, and our script does keep three short-lived keys in sessionStorage. Most customers run analytics without a banner and reach an estimated ~99% of visitors, against the 70-80% who opt in where a banner is shown. Confirm the position for your own site with your legal adviser.
Can I change my plan anytime?
Absolutely! You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. We'll prorate the charges to ensure fair billing. Changes take effect immediately.
Is my data processed in the EU?
Yes. Analytics data is processed and stored on EU-based servers. One lookup goes outside that: to name the network operator behind a visit we send the network block the visitor's IP address sits in, never the whole address and nothing else about the visit. Our privacy policy names the services that receive it, and you can switch the lookup off per site.
What happens if I exceed my pageview limit?
We'll send you a notification when you're approaching your limit. You can easily upgrade to continue tracking, or we'll pause tracking until the next billing cycle. No surprise charges, ever.
Is there a free trial?
There is no time-limited trial. There is a free plan instead, and it does not expire: 1 site and 50,000 pageviews a month, with no credit card. Move to a paid plan when you outgrow it, and cancel from your account at any time.
