Old Analytics Trackers
- Captures only up to 70-85% of user interactions
- Fails with JavaScript disabled
- Blocked by ad blockers
- No tracking without consent
- Adds 20-80KB to your page weight
- Drops events recorded while the connection is down
- Compromises A/B testing accuracy
VeritaMetrics Analytics
- Captures ~99.5% of user interactions (estimated)
- Works without JavaScript
- Bypasses ad blockers
- Counts every visit without setting or reading a cookie
- Adds only ~7KB to your page
- Saves events that fail to send and re-sends them on the next page load
- Less than 100ms load time impact
The Hidden Cost of Legacy Tools
The Blind Spot
Around 30% of people run an ad blocker (GWI: nearly 1 in 3 (opens in a new tab)), and analytics scripts are a common target. Industry estimates put the loss to a tool like Google Analytics at 10 to 40% of visits. It runs higher on developer and privacy-conscious audiences. Visitors who decline a cookie banner are never counted at all.
The Speed Trap
Conventional analytics is heavy. Google Analytics loads roughly 145KB of code, enough to slow your pages down. On a slow phone it can miss a click or a sale that happens before the script has finished loading.
The Compliance Trap
Google Analytics sets cookies and needs a consent banner in the EU and UK. Several European data-protection authorities have challenged sending EU data to a US company. That is legal risk and lost consent, on top of the banner friction.
The VeritaMetrics Fix
Our loader is about ~7KB and starts the moment your page does, so it never holds things up. It counts every interaction from the first click, with no cookies and no consent banner of our own. We don't record private data. For the rare visitor with JavaScript switched off, a 43-byte pixel still records the page view on our servers.
Both of our headline figures, the ~30% of traffic recovered and the ~99.5% of interactions captured, are estimates worked out from the loss rates above. Neither has been independently audited.
{ /* Answers the second objection raised in "The Compliance Trap" above, that European authorities have challenged sending EU data to a US company. The first objection (cookies and consent) is answered in the paragraph above. NO BACKTICKS IN THIS COMMENT. It had them, as markdown code spans around the filenames below, and prettier-plugin-astro stopped treating the whole block as a comment: it read them as template literals, swallowed the JSX after them, and then read the @ of the adapter package name as a decorator. "npx prettier --write ." died with "Leading decorators must be attached to a class declaration" at this line and took the wiggum autofix step with it. Same family as the plugin bug .prettierignore already records for src/pages/signup/check-email.astro, and cheaper to avoid than to ignore, since ignoring this file would stop formatting the most-read page on the site. THIS CLAIM DEPENDS ON A SETTING THE REPOSITORY CANNOT SEE. The Vercel function region is configured in the Vercel dashboard, not in vercel.json (which has no "regions" key) and not in the adapter options in astro.config.mjs (@astrojs/vercel 8.0.4 exposes none). Verified 1 September 2026 and re-checkable in ten seconds: curl -sI https://www.veritametrics.com/ | grep x-vercel-id The header reads edge::function::id. The SECOND segment is the function region and must be lhr1 (London); the database is separately pinned by the connection string, ep-fancy-sun-abfwnle0.eu-west-2 (also London). The first segment is the CDN edge nearest the visitor and varies, including US nodes for US visitors, which is why this sentence claims processing and storage rather than routing. Deliberately says "London", not "the EU": London is in Europe and outside the EU, and a compliance-minded reader will know the difference. */ }Your visitors' data is processed and stored in London, not the United States.
Eight products
How we compare, including where we lose
We checked eight privacy analytics products against their own source and pricing pages on 3 August 2026. Where one of them beats us, we say so.
All eight products, side by sideNo migration
Keep your Google Ads audiences. See what GA4 misses.
Run VeritaMetrics on its own, or beside GA4 and Tag Manager. Teams keep GA4 for the Google Ads audience signals, and our snippet counts independently either way. If you do run both, the difference between the two numbers after a week is the traffic GA4 never saw. GA4 keeps its cookies and whatever consent banner covers them. Our snippet sets none of its own, and adding it does not change the consent GA4 needs.
Setup steps for Tag Manager- Install both. Nothing to remove, no tag to disable.
- Compare the two counts for a month before you decide anything.
- Your Google Ads and Search Console setup keeps working untouched.
- Import your Google Analytics history so the numbers line up.
