Cookieless · EU-processed · GDPR-ready
See the visitors other analytics miss.
VeritaMetrics counts your visits on our own servers instead of in the browser. That is how the traffic ad blockers and consent walls hide, about 30%est. of it, still reaches your dashboard. Install is one line of HTML, with no cookie banner and nothing personal stored.
<script defer
data-site-id="YOUR-ID"
src="veritametrics.com/tracker.js"></script> ~30% more visits recovered than cookie-based analytics.
- No cookies, and we ship no banner
- No IP address in your analytics data
- Data processed on EU servers
- Respects Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
- Visitor opt-out you can publish
- Self-hostable
Your address is cut to its first three blocks, then hashed with the date into a visit ID. That is how a visit gets counted without a cookie. The location lookup holds the full address for up to 24 hours to cache its answer. Neither version is written to a pageview or an event.
Whether your site still needs a consent banner depends on your jurisdiction and on what else you run, and it turns on ePrivacy Article 5(3) and PECR rather than on cookies alone. We set out our position, and what it depends on, in what a visit records. It is not legal advice.
The company answerable for that position is Chelsea AI Ventures Ltd. Read our privacy policy or run it on your own servers.

How VeritaMetrics captures more data
Old Analytics Trackers
- Captures only up to 70-85% of user interactions
- Fails with JavaScript disabled
- Blocked by ad blockers
- No tracking without consent
- Adds 20-80KB to your page weight
- Drops events recorded while the connection is down
- Compromises A/B testing accuracy
VeritaMetrics Analytics
- Captures ~99.5% of user interactions (estimated)
- Works without JavaScript
- Bypasses ad blockers
- No consent needed (GDPR compliant by design)
- Adds only ~6KB to your page
- Saves events that fail to send and re-sends them on the next page load
- Less than 100ms load time impact
The Hidden Cost of Legacy Tools
The Blind Spot
Around 30% of people run an ad blocker (GWI: nearly 1 in 3), and analytics scripts are a common target. Industry estimates put the loss to a tool like Google Analytics at 10 to 40% of visits. It runs higher on developer and privacy-conscious audiences. Visitors who decline a cookie banner are never counted at all.
The Speed Trap
Conventional analytics is heavy. Google Analytics loads roughly 145KB of code, enough to slow your pages down. On a slow phone it can miss a click or a sale that happens before the script has finished loading.
The Compliance Trap
Google Analytics sets cookies and needs a consent banner in the EU and UK, and several European data-protection authorities have challenged sending EU data to a US company. That is legal risk and lost consent, on top of the banner friction.
The VeritaMetrics Fix
Our loader is about ~6KB and starts the moment your page does, so it never holds things up. It counts every interaction from the first click, with no cookies and no consent banner. For the rare visitor with JavaScript switched off, a 43-byte pixel still records the page view on our server.
Both of our headline figures, the ~30% of traffic recovered and the ~99.5% of interactions captured, are estimates worked out from the loss rates above. Neither has been independently audited.

How we compare, including where we lose
We read the source and the pricing pages of eight privacy analytics products. Two of the rows below go against us. They stay in.
- Free plan
- VeritaMetrics: 3 sites, 10,000 pageviews a month
- Other products: Umami Cloud gives 1 site. Fathom has no free plan.
- Script size, gzipped they win
- VeritaMetrics: ~6KB
- Other products: Plausible is smaller at 2.5KB. PostHog is 75.6KB.
- Captured without tagging
- VeritaMetrics: Clicks, forms, outbound links, downloads, scroll depth
- Other products: Umami captures none of these.
- Page speed from real visits
- VeritaMetrics: LCP, INP and CLS
- Other products: Plausible collects none. Matomo sells a plugin at 89 EUR a year.
- Rage and dead clicks
- VeritaMetrics: Both, on every plan
- Other products: Of the eight we compared, only PostHog has both.
- Events that fail to send
- VeritaMetrics: Saved on the device and re-sent on the next page load
- Other products: PostHog retries in memory, so a closed tab loses them.
- Open source they win
- VeritaMetrics: No
- Other products: Umami is MIT licensed. GoatCounter is free, with no paid tier at all.

No migration
Keep Google Analytics. Add ours next to it.
Most teams that adopt a privacy tool keep GA4 running for the Google Ads audience signals. Nothing here asks you to choose. Our snippet sits alongside GA4 and Tag Manager, counts independently, and needs no change to what you already have.
See the setup alongside GTM- Install both. Nothing to remove, no tag to disable.
- Compare the two counts for a month before you decide anything.
- Your Google Ads and Search Console setup keeps working untouched.
- Import your Google Analytics history so the numbers line up.
Autocapture
We track it all automatically
The moment the script is in, VeritaMetrics records clicks, form submits, outbound links, downloads, scroll depth, and engaged time. Add one HTML attribute only when you want to name a specific goal.
